Setup Guide

Setting up your review stand or card takes about 2 minutes. You only do it once, and you can change the link any time.

Step 1: Copy your Google review link

  1. On your phone or computer, search for your business name on Google, or open your Google Business Profile.
  2. Tap Ask for reviews (it may also say Get more reviews or Share review form).
  3. Copy the link it gives you. That's the link your customers will land on.

Prefer Facebook, Instagram, your menu or your booking page instead? Just copy that link.

Step 2: Set up the QR code (stands only)

  1. Scan the QR code on your stand with your phone camera.
  2. Enter the activation code printed on the stand's base.
  3. Paste your review link and save. Scan it again to test it.

The Tap Review Card has no QR code, so skip this step for cards.

Step 3: Set up the tap (NFC) chip

  1. Download the free NFC Tools app (iPhone or Android).
  2. Open it and go to Write > Add a record > URL/URI.
  3. Paste your review link and tap OK, then Write.
  4. Hold the top of your phone against the stand or card until it says Write complete.

Tip: don't use the app's "Lock tag" option unless you're sure you'll never change the link.

Step 4: Test it

Tap the stand or card with your phone. Your review page should open right away. If you can, test with both an iPhone and an Android phone.

Where to put it

  • Next to the till or card machine, where customers pay
  • On tables, so people can tap while they wait
  • At the front desk or reception
  • In your pocket or on a badge clip for jobs on the road

Where is the tap spot on a phone?

On iPhones, the NFC reader is at the top back edge, near the camera. On most Android phones it's in the middle of the back. NFC must be turned on in Android settings. iPhone XS and newer read tags automatically.

Custom branded cards

After you order, we'll email you to collect your business name, logo and the link you want. Your cards are printed and shipped with tracking, usually within 2–3 weeks.
